Who we are

Mikrohistorie is a Norwegian dialect learning app developed by Dark Space Studio AS. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

What data we collect

Email address — collected when you create an account. We use one-time passcode (OTP) login via email; we never store a password.

Usage and progress data — which stories you have listened to, exercise completions, streaks, and activity dates. This data is stored so the app can track your learning progress across devices.

Purchase information — if you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and managed by RevenueCat. We receive only a subscription status (active or inactive). We do not store or process your payment card details.

Device information — basic device and OS information may be collected automatically by our infrastructure providers for security and reliability purposes.

How we use your data

• To provide and maintain the app and your account.
• To save and sync your learning progress.
• To verify your subscription status and unlock premium content.
• To send transactional emails (login codes, account notices). We do not send marketing emails.

Who we share data with

We use the following third-party services to operate Mikrohistorie:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your email and progress data are stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts on our behalf. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• Apple / Google — app distribution and in-app purchases. Subject to their respective privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@darkspace.studio. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Mikrohistorie is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
